In the midst of an expedition, archaeologist Ling meets General Mo Xie in the wilderness, who is from the Great Yan Dynasty. Unbeknownst to her, he's a valiant warrior and after saving his life, they find themselves transported back in time to the Great Yan era. As they navigate this new world, they grow closer, facing various challenges and eventually fall for each other.
